Our primary aim and focus of our outreach and detach work is to support young people in and around Chalkhill, Stonebridge and St Raphael’s Estate. This is done by identifying the needs, rights and responsibilities of our targeted group. We then work with them to sign post them to programmes and spaces that are non-judgemental, inclusive and challenging of their negative or inappropriate behaviour.
The role of our youth leaders on this programme is to help young people to learn from their own experiences through social education. This is achieved by delivering street level services that are appropriate and useful to young people; these may include borough wide survey, gift distribution, youth services, housing support, etc.
