S.T.A.T project aims to work with Primary schools to keep some of the most vulnerable children safe while they are in the final year of their learning in Year 6 and provide them with positive behaviours and activities that can continue to keep them safe when they make the transition to secondary school. The project works in partnership with schools, which identify the most vulnerable children and keep in close contact with mentors to maintain attendance and share information on behaviour and progress.
The programme focuses on crime prevention by targeting the most vulnerable young people at an early age and working with them for the extended period needed to establish long-term positive attitudes and behaviours which can enable them to resist being drawn into anti-social activities, gangs or violence.
